Well the following mixtures will give excellent results when removing rust stains, car oil leaks or grease spots from a concrete driveway.
To remove rust stains
dissolve 1 part of sodium citrate in 6 parts of water and add 6 parts of commercial glycerin.
Mix a quantity of the solution with enough powdered whitening or chalk to form a paste and spread it on the stain in a thick coat.
When dry, replace with fresh paste or moisten with the remaining liquid.
A week or more may be required to remove the stain.
To remove fresh oil stains
Cover them with an inch or two of dry portland cement.
For old stains, wash with a solution of 1 kg of trisodium phosphate in 5 litres of hot water.
After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with cold water.
